Silliest ME

Silliest person ever born
under the fiery sun and lovely moon

I could not understand her invite
all alone when so very young

Today I weep at my folly of my failing
in not accepting what she was then offering

life lapsed into oblivion
now I realise why from the top I fall
like a senseless Niagara Fall

my life would have been
like red grapes in life's vine but
it was unimaginably silly of me

Geezer

I'm sure that many people play that game with themselves; what might have been. I have had a few of those moments myself. I guess it's a case of "Could've, would have, should have. I like this one, short, sweet and no dying! LoL
Nice job! ~ Geez.

I'm with you all the way with regard to missed 'romantic" opportunities,
always seemed to be one step behind and doing the foxtrot
whilst she was tangoing off into the distance with the splendid greasy wop,
whom, it must be said was a far better dancer than I, though,
said 'Wop" never quite mastered the Hokey Pokey like I did,
and as such, missed out on many a tangled leg.

I like this one Lovedly,
I can ( as Geezer said) see myself in it !!
well done.

Obi.
