The thorough thinker
opened his
mouth and thrust
his bold blade
of belittlement
deep into
my heavy heart of hope.
Slashing it’s
way into the sulking
sands of
cynicism .

That thorough thinker
sounds like a stinker.
I like the way your poems remind me of Theodore Geisel Suess' writing.
Thomas
thank you
I like his rhyming and alliteration
thank you
I was inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac

and thank you for your kind words of consideration
my dear friend may you also be well in this wild world of the enigma.
So sorry...
for your pain. Sounds like a little bit of self-doubt trying to make its' way into your head; I would venture to say that might be part of your pain. Only crit. is the [ed] on thrusted. No need for it, thrust is one of those odd words that does well without the past-tense spelling out. ~ Geez.
.
thank you
and i hope your doing well
i’m going to fix the word
I felt your emotion
It's truly deep-cutting, a melancholic expression.
Well expressed.
