My Only Request to Myself
An active mind
can never rest
@82 nearing I must confess
staying idle is what I can't tolerate
though all say I am a true poet
merit to be given is by educated folks
great poets more o doc like you
I am always in blue
since I was just two
never rested a day
wish to go for my cremation
walking and say
hello friends now I go away
having come so far you all make my day
OK good bye I can't say
have a happy day
now I pass away
in he arms of Time
I shall sway.

If I could still walk...
to my cremation, I'd be walking in the other direction! I get what you mean, I'd like to have a few last words with the people that I love and love me. But I think that if I have time before my death, that I will just leave them a note! ~ Geez.
.
Thanks GEE
For your wonderful interpretation great 'tis
Hi lovedly, what a surprising
Hi lovedly, what a surprising poem. Very good and it intrigues me. I don't think I'll be able to say anything as I go to my cremation...but this is poetry, so why not?
Good idea to say goodbye right away, I'm sorry I didn't do so before loved ones died.
Enjoyed.
so kind of you gracy ma'am
I perhaps have been just waiting
the end is as far as the horizon
tomorrow will come
but for one none knows
that's the whole beauty of living '
till then say no amen
maybe more years yet
than ten
perhaps till then thanks
