Pause

Water continues to flow downstream cold
To the touch of your hand
Reminding me of Colorado spring
Whisper aspen talk
Brittle in my glove box yet still

Existing flesh crumble
Window print to our world
With waxy pastels
Past
ells...

Under the fingernails cautious creation
an unnoticed moment

It makes me feel a sense of loss but I can't really take anything from it. I find it too subjective to offer me anything. Maybe another reader with a more surrealist bent could offer a more helpful critique. If this has been revised since, I would be interested in reading it.
