WISDOM COMES to Some

You must all compose
fewer poems
within reach of jokers like me
who just want to be read only

this lesson a girl gave me
no one read my poetry
for three years
not a single comment
till the poetess
finally did sense cement

O poet
you are lovely
but no one comments on thee
why

read 10 poems of mine
then perhaps
I may spare a line

Now take this lesson of hers
for me
she passed away
into the wilderness
of poetic melody

Today all read me
I'm no more lonelier
than was she

indebted to
her indelible
memory I be

God be with her
where ever she's

finally cast a poet
out of a cracked coconut
you call
a poetic butt!
