Enigma

We laugh because we’re glad.
We cry because we’re sad.
We live to die but why.
Am I just a pawn In this little game of life.
Just there to effect the other players then inevitably fade away into obscurity. Even it doesn’t Matter because this world is as mad as a hatter and Just there to make our minds turn round and round and make our mouths constantly chatter with the idea of that there is something after the action of death.

For once you think when on the brink of your own self termination .what if there is something after death what if there is a heaven and what if there is a hell . What if there is reincarnation. The answer is no one can tell so we sit and stay as time ticks passed our way .And our life slowly slips away.

Hello, Edward,
You are correct - it is a great enigma. And a big part of the mystery is, as you say, the fear of never knowing. Thank goodness you have the gift of writing! It gives us all a sense of reflection.
Thank you!

Hello Edward, fascinating, enigmatical prose poetry you've penned. Reminds me of Hamlet's soliloquy. To be or not to be...
Personally, I think there is heaven after death. It's a mystery, but there 'tis.
I like your imagery. My usual nit is that you started off in verses, but then you continued with prose. I see lots of internal rhymes in the prose part, so why not use them to good effect as a poem? The musicality is there, but you've probably not realized as you were deep in these philophical thoughts.
Congratulations, I'm so glad you've come to neopoet.
All the best, Gracy

To be or not to be is the question to die to sleep perchance to dream it is saying to do we to die and if that’s the case what comes after death it is questioning our humanity and our own mere existence.

My view of death differs from many and is confusing for some, I've been called mysterious and weird by nature, with that said I get the theme Enigma well
