It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the passing of Ian T. Howard ( Sparrow). He has been a member since the beginning of neopoet.com He has offered his talent, warmth and kindness to this community and we will forever be in his debt. Ian was in charge of getting our undiscovered poems some critiques and making sure every poet felt at home. New poets were welcomed by his charm and his willingness to help them navigate the site. He also contributed to our resources section. A place where poets can learn more about poetry. May he rest in peace and he will be deeply missed
Bad news indeed
Altho I have never met him, it is always a poor day when another poet passes.
The sparrow has flown
Ian was a great help to me and i considered him a friend. He will be missed seems an inadequate phrase.......
ode to ian
may your soul lift up from your human form
and soar to the heavens, weightless and free
may you have everything you ever wanted
and finally feel at home
may all your pain be gone and your heart break fixed
and may your loved ones feel at rest
knowing that you are in a better place
with a happy smile on your grateful face
(I hope to see you when my time has come, I know I never crossed your path but I am still sad when a soul leaves the world)
Rest In Peace
My condolences...
to all.

What sad news, I'm shocked.
What sad news, I'm shocked. Ian was not so old, was he? A Brit, same as Alan. Did you ever meet up to chat and have a beer or two?
My condolences to all his family, children, grandparents and friends. I'm certainly a virtual one, even tho' he's dead.
I'm sure we'll all meet up in a far better place.

I will miss you forever and be there for Anne. I miss you so so much and know you're dancing with the children now and sitting with those of us who need your loving presence. I'll look for the footprints. I miss our chats. I miss your guidance and even at the end you were still such a selfless person. You're an example of the best of humanity.
I love you x
sadly missed

He's missed
I'm hurt beyond words.
I don't know what to say and I can't... His death is truly sad. But he's where poets stay... He's resting in peace.
