Finally Dawn

Forever bounded in the shadow.
Prisoner of his reckless urge,
Failure to break free from his maniac grip.
Oiled with his cursed seed.
Bathing lost her touch as cologne her strength,
The stench of shame never fades.

Memories of him hunt my every breath
While Judging hands points towards me,
She triggered his madness and acted victim.
What’s expected of Eve?
Always bent on bringing down the mighty.

Self acclaimed counsellors,
With theories unfavorable.
To them, living was embracing silence,
As no one would work with the scarred;
The quiet became my doom.
And old pain shoved behind made room for fresh remains.

Then you stepped in dear Covid,
Holding back small and great within corners of rooms,
Everyman now share a taste of my reality.
Anxiety, fear and uncertainty takes over the stage.
News highlight; captivity, the worst enemy ever known.
Breaking free becomes worlds ultimate goal.

Your darkness Covid was an epiphany,
Revealing monsters true reflections
Ears now make hid to my argony
while comforting hands guide me out the shadow
Joyful tears wash the pain as soothing words takes the shame.
Scars never fade but guilt's let me live, I finally can breath.
