deadly vocation (by: eddy styx)
this is mine
the unspeakable...
it is done.
the dark ruby
that was her heart,
hidden behind
an ivory wall
of shallow pulsing breath
lies now exposed
to the ebony miracle
of endless night!
the deep sapphire
of her unseeing eyes
surrounded
by the glint
of milky whites.
gazing into those orbs
at the reflection
of myself,
grasping the bloody knife
which drips
garnet tears.
you are not
the last
deceitful lying faithless
soul
to be kissed
and set free
by this enraptured blade.
and so I move on
into the shadows,
for justice awaits
its obedient servant...
and I go forth
to fulfill my trusted calling!

Wow Cat!
what a description Eddy Styx has of you....was it jealousy that makes him become a killer?... or is he supposed to be a serial killer of pretty women?
contrasting verses
hello raj,
actually, i developed out of the Cat's pain and anger. her childhood was traumatic to say the least. a lot of bad things happened. including a mother who hated her and told her so. instead of lashing out and hurting people, the Cat gave birth to me, eddy styx... and i put the rage on the page! hope that explains things. if not, private message me.
ever, eddy
*always, Cat
Hi again
it certainly does explain creation of Eddy Styx...I read about your childhood in the comments you made on another poem and appreciate the fact that you handled it as well as you have done....perhaps Steve provided a kind of calming influence on you...i wish both of you a long partnership of love and mutual care & respect...
hugs..
...
thanks raj,
Steve is a great influence on me :) he is as calm as he can be. he smooths out my rough edges! ;)
*warm hugs, Cat

Cat, your poem is so powerful
Cat, your poem is so powerful. So now you're eddy Styx. Are you the river, the three headed hound or the oarsman? I bet you're the one who gets the coins...lol.
Impressive poem, I'll visit your link to see how one purchases your book. My problem is that our Argentine peso is so devalued, that anything in foreign currency is beyond my power of purchase. If it's in e-book format, maybe I can. Nowadays I buy e-books because my cottage has no more room for "real ones". And I'm allergic to the mites in books, are you?
Enjoyed, if that's the right word! Best, Gracy
hello Gracy,
i'm the oarsman, i reach out a bony hand to you and help you board:) i think the books are available through my website (i think an e-book is, too) check out my web site and if it isn't there then you can send me an e-mail and the Cat's husband, Steve can help out. any question's you have you can "private message"me.
ever, eddy
