Grieve Not

Grieve not over the loss of your youth
it was given in preperation
for realities truth

Remember the wisdom
imparted back then
for you will need that wisdom
in the end

Use what you've learned
of the simplistic things of life
like please and thank you
good morning and goodnight

Practice the golden rule
for it is so true
do unto others
as you would have them do unto you

Smile at someone every day
for it was given to you
to give away

Tell the ones that you hold dear
how much you love them
and will always need them near

I agree with what Teddy has said...liked it...would look at how you change four line stanzas to three liners which generally is the pattern you have followed...

be well..

Hi, Chrys,
A wonderful way to remember our daily affirmations to "doing unto others." Your first stanza is great - leading the way for all that follows.
Thank you!

to live by. I especially like the one about giving a smile away every day, because that's why it was given to you. Smile on, my dear, smile on. ~ Geez.
