So what is life without death
light without darkness
joy without pain or
White without black.
So what are you without me?
or me without you?
What is the Sky if barren of birds
flowers without butterflies,
oceans without fishes
like blacks without whites
No God without its worshippers
culture without people or
peace without war.
one colour does not match an artwork
its good to love and to be loved in return
everything is unique in its own nature
just like the black and the white.

I felt this went...
beyond the usual issue of race; it is as though you are using the white/black, black/white thing as the Japanese would use the Yin and Yang. "Without the light, there can be no dark" A good poem for these times; let us celebrate the differences that make us ALL human. That is what it is really all about. ~ Geezer.

Hello Chiori, I like your
Hello Chiori, I like your questionning verses. The title is fine and the content clear as a sparkling river. Good poem for these times. The spacing and the end are both deftly written.
I agree with Geez about the Yin and Yang, except that I studied them as a Budhist philosophy. I suppose there are many Budhists in Japan...dunno, not studied that up.
I especially like your 3rd. strophe, so sad, no birds, flowers, etc. It's happenning.
Enjoyed, Gracy
Gracy is right...
the prime participants in Budhism share the philosophy of Yin and Yang although I think that indeed, that there are many Budhists in Japan. ~ Geez.

White's Without Black's
Hello, Chiori,
Absolutely love this - wonderful thoughts and analysis. Wonderful. I did take a double look at your title and need to ask: do you need the apostrophes? Is this possessive or plural? Could it possibly be titled simply "White Without Black"? Again, really like this a lot.
Thank you!
