Silently into The Loving Night

Silence of the night
makes for a chilly fright
with softest music a delight
distant notes on an accordian
and the reverberation of a violin

Silence in the eerie night
sounds of soft music, lovely quotes
to our ears, a most soothing rote
of musical and sleepy notes
like ever-lasting anecdotes

Silence into the night they strung
whistling then so suddenly sprung
clarinets from distant dunes
like variably played lullaby tunes

Silently yes...
into the silent night

Hi, Lovedly,
Very soft and quiet poem, but yet I hear all the different musical sounds. There is something still and lonely as well as comforting about this poem - it has a good balance of different emotions, which is of course what music and poetry bring out in us. Soothing and gentle.
Thank you!

Hi lovedly, such a soothing poem. Love the musicaly and imagery. My only nits are the usual ones, probably similar to Teddy's suggestions. Tweak it a little. I gave my version below, to TorT. Best, Gracy

Silently into nights,
silence, chilly frights,
softest music did they delight,
distant notes on a lively accordion
followed by reverberating violins
Silently into eerie nights,
sounds of soft musical, lovely quotes
to our ears, soothing dotes, (?)
sounds of soft musical notes
to our ears were smoothing anecdotes.
silently into night they strung
whistling suddenly sprung
blowing clarinets from distant sand dunes
variable softly played lullaby tunes.
silently yeah...
Yeah, into moistened nights.

Some poems invite us readers to edit a bit. Here's my take for you to consider. A few takeaways, break into stranzas, some other small changes, I think the essence is still there. Was not sure of using "yeah" with such a high stance, prefer Yes here. A very soft brush on this canvas of sound. Tell me what you think...

Silently into the night,
into the silence of the chilly fright,
with softest music did they delight,
a distant note on an accordion
To reverberation on a violin

Silently into the eerie night,
sounds of soft music, lovely quotes
to our ears, were like soothing dotes,
sounds of soft music, oh lovely notes
to our ears like smoothing anecdotes.

Silently into the night they strung
whistling by then suddenly sprung
clarinets from distant sand dunes
like variable played lullaby tunes.

silently yes..
Yes into the moistened night.

Eumol missed you for long
and ma'am grace
shall have to my feet retrace

three versions to choose from
A rare coincidence

Let a fourth one step in
I am sure Gee will

then we shall communicate once again
to find a medium

Geezer

of course: as you have invited me...

with your blatant adulation, people are going to think that I am paying you. I only did as you invited me to; as others did. I just so happened to have a good basis to work from and some free time. You could be brilliant, but indulge in craziness; maybe to inhance your legacy? ~ Geez.

I never ever get my dues
in any walk of life
and as Far as people are concerned
I don't bother at the least
people are born to say what they may
we have no control

And what of payment I can't follow
I am not even known to you by name
all know

Sorry again shall take care
comment or not I leave it to your good judgement
Kindness pays as in gratitude
May I bow

At last a lovely piece of writing from you,
I know you will say that you have many but as you can see this has struck a chord with many of Neopoet's best,
I bet Jess is up there smiling..
Take care young poet,
Yours as always, Ian

you fucking machine gun poet
doing so well
I now need the likes of you here
come over
I shan't kick you

I got up and asked
where am I in heaven
and without a mask

they all said don't worry
CORONA we have buried
now hurry
come up directly
quickly

lovedly

yeah jess came in my dreams just now and said
you fucking machine gun poet
doing so well
I now need the likes of you here
