God is Child Himself

God is Child Himself

Without having ever read this
your poem friend

when I was in school
in class 3 or 5
I never went to fourth
double promotion
too intelligent for my age
perhaps
but not a prodigy

I too composed
a similar poem
unknowingly

This world is a stage
A Dolls house
in nursery class
daily we play
where men and women
are its small toys
and
God is he
himself
the Child

Then at 7 years of age
I knew not who Shakespeare is

in fact he was

Interesting poem, Lovedly. You've quoted Shakespeare nicely, but I don't see the need for caps. Most of us know about "all the world's a stage..." so there's no need.
I honestly find the poem confusing. Perhaps you could tell us a bit about it. I also learned English when I was the same age, thanks to my immigrant parents.
I'll return, best, Gracy

Geezer

obscure references make it hard to understand what you are writing about most of the time. After your reply to Gracy, I finally started to get what it was all about. Now, I understand that you were saying that you had written a poem or story about how children play with doll houses and pretend and that if there is a God; he is but a child playiing with the lives of men and women. An allusion to the play by Willie Shakespeare. Now, I get it! I am 72, not so much younger. ~ Geez.

I read so much of poetry
on various sites
poets I meet many
just want to tweet
Its like a treat

Well cut it short
Shakespeare said a lot

Today I am 80
and
had he been alive
he would have said

''HIGH TIME YOU'D SHUT UP''
but
in a single word
just sum it up
young old man

''SANS''
