A Legend In His Time (July Contest )

As if in a dream
I sat and stared
listening with deep intent
I knew all the words to every song
and found myself singing along
A fan I was for too long to remember
I could hardly believe my fate
but here I sat as a birthday gift
mesmirized by every move
chords that rang out from his guitar
and beheld the legend Gordon Lightfoot

Thank you very much. It was indeed an experience my daughter to me
thank you but I am nothing of the sort
to see him this past February

Hi, Chrys,
What a gentle, captivating poem - just like his music. It feels like you were in a trance almost, you enjoyed and appreciated every moment. I think of him also as a poet, and get a feeling of inner calm when reading this.
Thank you!
