Angles and Lines

Angles and lines
leading to where?
structured standards are set by whom?
yet who is to say
that we must follow?

The rules have already been broken
by the contoured curves of lies
spoon fed by the masters of deceit

One hand rests on humanities pulse
while the other stirs a seething cauldron
of greed,gluttony and lust

The voices are expounding
sugar coated apathy
to ears deafened by promises not kept

The coffers are bare
while coffins hold the truth
they tell us that our future lies
within the hands of our youth

But what of here and now?
what of big brothers great sins?
when all that's left are the lines
and pre planned angles
that tell us how we should live
