The Ides of March...

Be wary of the Ides of March
So said the Speaker of the House
Your attitude is atrocious
They're calling you a louse

A little late, said the President
The Ides have already passed
But his party got together
To try and save his ass

His party held him with open arms
They didn't bring their knives
And so he used his dubious charms
To play with people's lives

It's not my fault, it's all theirs
He said again and again
He didn't listen to bewares
He wouldn't take the blame

So they grabbed him by the throat
Slapped him up real good
Said, "We're on a sinking boat
Unless you listen like you should"

We wish that you could get it
Through your stupid head
If you keep spouting wit
Your chance is good as dead

So now he's acting Presidential
Taking their advice
Counting on eventual
Things will be all nice
