There’s a feeling in the air
That brings me back to here or there
A special moment in my life
From childhood or with my ex-wife
And I’m aware I can’t go back
It’s something like a heart attack
It makes me gasp for precious air
It feels so strong, it isn’t fair
The two-edged sword of memory
Reliving what we used to be
The feeling is so bitter-sweet
But I think, what if we didn’t meet?
What if I didn’t take that job?
Smile so wide or heavy sob?
A pocket of the atmosphere
Makes me brave or start to fear
They say the sign you’re taking part
In life for real’s a broken heart
An inert body never bruises
Who never tries, well, never loses
So we must endure from time to time
The bell of history and its chime
There’s a feeling in the air
Call it spirit (or grizzly bear)
But it is just the price we pay
The sanction of another day

I really like this...
It is a game we all play with ourselves from time to time. What if? Nice job! But WTF does a grizzly bear have to do with anything?

this feels like whispers from the other side of a fence, which divided a home [relationship]..
