INCREDIBLE LIGHTENING

Incredible Rainbow...
Once we were travelling
across the darkness
of the cross country
no lights but lightening
ever so frightening
perhaps wanted to ask
will you catch and bury

we drove through the earth
lightening brightened sky
somehow we never stopped
even for a while
nor even for
a much needed Pee
as the lightening would have ensured
that it did score
and
burnt all alive who dared
through the darkness to drive
behind all odds of a wild vast desert
lit only by its lightening light

No, no mirage
but it was like a match strike
about you as a candle
to the finally scorching light
but one would have had no option
but to truly physically ignite...

Such was the life threatening
burning light
throughout that unforgettable
wonderfully eerie midnight
that memorably unforgettable night
