They parade their wares
supposedly to showcase fashion
while hawk eyes strip them
with wildest imagination
some of those cats walking the ramp
make it to celebrity pads
would it be the same
if they were mannequins
the so called "in high places"
cannot make it to the brothels
high places become fish markets
to pick and choose
to see who gets hooked
those who do once done with
sport "Me Too" tags
to grab attention
and make green backs
nations wage wars
with words or nukes
be it for trade or to grab land
in a struggle for survival
big fish eat small fish
rarely a win-win situation
who is right who is wrong
becomes talk of the town
greedy for breaking news
when in each one of us
Jekyll and Hyde reside
it's futile to determine
who's morally correct
Ethics is like a mirror
on either side of which
it's hard to distinguish
between right and left
they never shake hands

a direct stream of consciousness
You portrayed a direct stream of consciousness into the most inward parts. I'm left breathless with the feel of beauty from letting go inside my enigma. You hit home on so many fronts with this piece really has a lot of transformed emotion locked in.
Thank you Mario for the read
Thank you Mario for the read and comments. However this is not about emotion but about real life scenarios which questions what are ethics, who is the moral judge since no one is always morally right while leading a life...i know this statement is bold, debatable and may prick some conscience..in other words it is like idealism v/s realism

Hi raj
Hi raj
starting with your summation, "idealism v/s realism" I would say the moral judge depends on what one believes in. I would see idealism in a spiritual context, realism in a material one.
Science now rules the world, where would we be without out our electronic gadgets. The philosophy of one asked, 'what are you?' the philosophy of science ask, 'what can you do?' Is it any wonder that 90% of wealth is in 10% of hands. Or to put it another way, the world today, does not chase quality, but quantity.
Just my view, of course
Hi Tyro
thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts I agree with...the essence of my poem is what is thought top be morally right by one would not be considered the same way by another,,,hence in my opinion Ethics is a perceived notion...
a fresh example is the comments made by President Trump about PM Teresa May standing next to her on the podium during a press conference in London and also during interview given to Sun Tabloid...when he was her (UK) guest sent shock waves whereas there are those who back him..
