JUNE 2018 CONTEST

To whom it may concern (June Contest)

I won't make this a long epistle, I
am a child who ran out of resources:
I haven't milk to drink nor money to buy,
My mom has been killed by unknown forces.
My father is poor, he works day and night
During his absence, we face many troubles.
My grandma, who has a very poor sight
Had me one morning wronged with soap bubbles
I wish I had somebody to play with
Or have someone to change my dirty dipers
Yet good things nowadays seem just a myth
When love and hearts are merely fake fibers.

This in short all about my epistle,
For I have nothing more my friends to tell

Very emotive epistle with a crestfallen mood. I notice that you have maintained a rhyme pattern throughout...is this a requirement of Epistle form? If so I wasn't aware of while posting 2 Epistles so far...I thought that it just has to be in a letter form ...one of the epistles i have posted is to express gratitude to those [informal] mentors like you whose writings have been a value addition for my writing abilities...

best wishes for the June Contest....i think so far only you, Ian and Drey Hommies have posted to the Contest...

For reading. The rhyme through out isn't a requirement of the epistal ( at least what I know), but if IS a requirement of the sonnet :)
I blushed as I was reading your comment. Your words honor me. I, as well am fond of every theme you tackle with your poetry.
I'll make sure to find time to read what I've missed of your work.
Thanks for your encouraging words.

Creative thoughts fester through this delicate piece left me breathless
to taste the ways of a lovely swan to help words get along.
the furtherance of this beautiful piece makes you think deeply really in one accord.
Lastly, I wouldn't change anything really good in this piece

for your review. I'm not sure if it works as an epistle. But since I meant to send a child's message (let's say to the human rights organizations) I at least consider the piece as an epistle. Judges will tell.
It's not personal. I had a very happy childhood that I wish every child would have.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Human rights are secondary to the greed of the free market, presidents and prime ministers are governed by banks and big business. It must be reversed to help the people of the world who really need help. Love Roscoe..
