Rescue Me

Rescue Me
Rescue me from the scourges evil,
Oh master twere life’s end arrives,
Peace has taken wings,
From my eyes,
Without surprise
I‘ve been left with a spine
Without a spine,
A weakling decrepit with age
Oh how a person once with rage,
My life has been reduced
To that of a page
Remorse is not the word,
The life needs to ebb away,
Oh Lord upon my life, I pray
Tis time for you take me away.

Ann did a poem about Old age - You see it from a different perspective - just as vaiid, old age can be kinder to some and a monster to others. I hope that it is being kind to you! The only solace is that well all have to face it.

A lady I used to visit (94) used to say she was past her sell by date. ( she was riddled with athritis )

Soo sad but soo powerful.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us.
