Who knows where we go to when we die?
Who knows where our soul will travel to?
Who knows if heaven or hell exist-
Or just a lullaby to make us sleep.
He said hell or heaven
ten virgins for my soul
he said blah blah blah.
Mama said have faith
The preacher said have faith
Everyone said have faith
Maybe I was born with no faith.
Let every man do their own
Jesus, Allah, Budha, Pagan do your own
Let me drink water and drop cup
For the land can contain us.
We should practice humanity
we should embrace love irrespective of eternity
we should be free from the shackles of religion
We can believe in our own dogma.
Who cares what happens to me when I die
Who cares how my body gets rotten?
Or where my gentle soul travels to
So far am being kind to my brother.

I'm not crazy...
about your title, although it is apt.Your language use is good; although I don't understand the reference to "Let me drink water and drop cup, for the land can contain us."
And the line that says "So far, am being kind to my brother", I do believe that I do understand, but it could be worded a bit differently. Maybe, [ I have been kind to my brother]. Other than that, a good poem that says much. ~ Geezer.
