Unintended Consequences

I yanked an errant thread
seemed the right thing to do
unaware of what could happen
no one told me, if they knew

as the climate started warming
I felt cooler day by day
as more and more loose fabric
discretely fell away

a garment I once cherished
had now turned to shreds
though that was not intended
when I pulled that errant thread

so be careful sjw's
politicos and professers too
that thread you are screwing with
just might be a fuse

Hiya, mate, This brought to mind an Americanism, "libtard." Now, its only an assumption of my typically British arse but,,, a well lit fuse with the appropriately placed stick of explosive ( 'tween the legs of messrs, Trump and cronies ) would be a great boon for "fucking libtards" such as I...

Well thought through piece. I enjoyed it.

I'm an errant bent penny
of dubious worth.
A fickle little tickle
on the funny bone o' mirth.............Obi.

yes, pulling on the wrong thread from the social fabric of a once tightly knit community, or nation, or world, can have catastrophic effects.
This is true for all... lovers of the status quo, or haters of the status quo.
so all should be careful no matter which side of the spectrum they are on,.
unintended consequences can be a bitch...so what might appear to be a boon, just might end up biting you in the "arse"

be careful, stay safe

work of symbolism! I enjoyed the use of the thread and the garment falling apart as you were unaware. Seems like only some of us see beyond and to the end of a comfortable piece of clothing
from pulling threads and letting things unravel. Thank you for some thought provoking work!
