Eskers works and now his journeying on has shrunk the world, Australia, Africa, Asia, America and Europe they have all come together for one purpose, to honour Esker and his writing, It wont matter which of his pieces you put on during the month we will remember him and other like him for all our time.
I will let you choose a piece or two to express our love for the Young Wolf, and may he run free for eternity.

A part of one of Eskers comments to us all on his last streamed Poetry:-

Me...the ego which protects and like a wolf pack owns its keep
are dogs cheap? what is the cost of Love
What are the rules of the pack?
how close to the blast do we know
the suffer of those burns
tawdry dreary theorem
I have climbed
for I was not the apple of any eye
but I have Loved
and was Loved
and I have Lost
am I to say I am better?
for I feel lesser
i prattle and rattle
its been a tough spring
many have leaned upon me
upon whom I lean
yet I do what I can
ideal...principle
and in the end
because I'm
human I feel I fail
which is
et tu
humane
i need rest
...
thank you
for listening..
Esker..

''When dark clouds come by
they convey
and we forecast
a heavy rainfall
and
may be snow
no one ever knows
the clouds may pass by also

The great poet of Neo
Esker
leaves us
most of us in sorrow
may the clouds look after him
where ever from here
he does go

we will only remember
his words of wisdom
let's overcome all sorrow
let all know he will live in times
we call Tomorrow

but it does matter that those touched by him have their say as you just did.

So please, whoever feels inclined, tell us which of Esker's poems you would like to see featured. I can post maybe five on the homepage during this time but also links to as many as you like.

I have picked a poem that holds so many things for Esker:-

Suits and track suits...
in a dream
the papers blowing in streams.

Of whisper
the rush of air
the shining light
I want movement
and time today
is not a friend.

Out from the depths
the curves and the climb
emerge into sunshine
chain link
wrong line.

I sit dumbfounded
in disbelief
no scream out
in anger no
slumping regret.

Somehow my mind
wandered
my body forgets
an hour to turn
back
across the tracks
missing appointments
attention I lack.

But I’ve seen now the
river so deep and
so pure
the light dancing
freely has given
a cure.

The park full of people
with children and dogs
the trees rising in
new buds has
sent me a calm.

A mistake in
its clarity
has broken
this severity
and a smile
climbs.

Like the rush
of doors
a sense of
peace
born...

I hope you wont mind I have corrected some of the words and put some verse spaces in,
I think this one is of a day when the wolf was at peace with the world and I would love him to be at peace always,
Yours Ian

Esker,
I first read his words and
I thought it was a trick
No one could say that kind of stuff off the cuff
He knew me instantly
He saw right through the digital pages
And reached back to give me a pat on the back
I felt it
And it was warm and true
And kind
And wise
And I wondered about the man on the other end
Of my digital call out
Reading the letters of my avatar name
What were his days like?
Was the sun shining for him?
I sure hoped so
….Thanks for bothering
Esker, wherever you are

take quite a bit of time for me to write a real poem about Esker, but I just wanted to say he was the most like me in terms of influences (H.P Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Jim Morrison) that I found on a neopoet site, which was like five thousand years ago now. Quite a guy.

S

to track this one down but I think it shows how he could make a poem about almost anything

Windscale gardens are reading hot
below the high box chimney top
equipped the bomb to join
the race
Uranium oxide
saving face
and cesium too
strontium 90
particles spew

in 57' they stopped
the two
no more toxicity
too the blue

(even a fire at an atomic bomb reactor)

For the next month I'm going to be posting people's favourites of Esker's poems or his feedback poems on the Neopoet homepage every few days.
Put in your requests here.
