Driving in daylight

I can't recall how long it is
Since I drove home amongst the light
Plucked out like candyfloss, crimson
Golden stacked up height
The sun breached full the place
known only by its dark left look,
And broke among the parting clouds
Like crowds do for a tender flock,
And ignited the strands of vapour
That wait for its grand encore daily

And to the south, none were left high and dry,
They were bequeathed a lavender hue
And I wished for my life to paint their singular truth
Or hold the eternity of colours, forever in my eyes.

and really like the last 2 lines.
Whereas everyone raves about New Zealand and millions of us Yanks go there every year, Tasmania shares the same climate and biodiversity and spectacular beauty, yet so little is heard about it. ( I won't tell anybody about it if you don't.....)
But as your poem is about anywhere, any a similar landscape which arouses the imagination to a poetic truth of beauty. And that was captured very eloquently.
