Comfort

Warm blankets.
A charged tablet.
A cup of coffee.
When the weekend starts,
being in my bed.
Rested on a fluffed pillow.
Youtube loaded up
on the screen.
And a butter rum muffin.

Something everyone can relate too. It is relaxing just to read. I can taste that muffin.
Very 2017. Keep this poem and look back at it in 20 years!

Yea, it will more pleasant looking back at the recent poems I have now in 10 or 20 years, than past work I wrote 10-15 years ago today. I can taste that muffin, I use to love it with coffee.

the doctor ordered! A nice, relaxing morning pursuing the latest news, gossip and a leisurely breakfast! The title is self-explanatory and the theme is perfect for the weekend. ~ Gee.

comes in many forms and can even differ for a particular person from day to day. I like the way this almost reads like a list poem.....stan

Comfort can definitely come in many ways. It's funny, writing this I thought "a single small object can give comfort in broad ways". Something someone else takes for granted, and there would be many ways you can write about. I guess that's the privilege poets have that the rest of the world is lacking, our ability is see the big pictures in miniature things. Gotta love it!
