Landscape O Mine
I'm now no more
but a mere shadow
on the screen of time's memory
many still come to my gallery
I see
some smile
some look at me in awe
the landscape is a sure memory
of that cloudy evening
dark,
yet so wonderfully
brought the distant
silhouette
'twas a real sight
I painted it all day
and
all that night
can you evaluate
my anxiety
I wanted to catch every stroke
the clouds pointed at me
now for me also it is a
distant unforgotten memory
come bring back
my landscape to me
I'd love to here in heaven see
the river still beckons me ...
where did you find my painting
in which gallery
come
show me
who all still remember that ghastly night
I converted all of it into live poetic canvas
where were you
do come and say
did you love my work
until this day
I still hanker to be loved
I pray
come show me your heart
just for just one day

Loved
A very good write on Landscapes giving the broader aspect of many paintings.
An unusual write for you but keep up the clean lines of your poetry in all forms..
Take care,
Yours, Ian..

Hello!
I can only stand in envy. This contest was so difficult for me that I could never choose a painting to write about and thus to my shame didn't write anything at all. Perhaps I should have done like you and just written of an entire genre instead. .......stan

TWO POEMS YOU ALL NEW COMMERS HAVE NEVER READ NOW MAY DAY PL DO
Very soothing change over
like a gal switches off
and
dresses into her gown
the night has come
September breeze
not much yet to freeze,
we all will see the moving away
of the sun
now on the Equator on September 21,(twentyone)
then as the sun distances from us
leaves fly about in hopeful trust
ere they lay about the ground,
in colors so profound,
trees bare down
but gradually,
till they bare like me
a baldy
then as the sun has gone down south
far enough
the summer has vanished
and
Autumn leaves are also banished
then you say 'tis fall
this has come after all,
it had to as it has been
many thousands
nay millions,
nay billion years
humanity has been at sea
just enjoy this fall
as the ones you have seen
'tis the coming of autumn
that has yet to be seen,
let green leaves now look like colored flowers
welcome autumn please
The beauty of space
is now lent by bare trees
we can through the far distance
now see....
