Two Flower Children
Two daffodils grew nearly side by side,
Divided by a margin eight inch wide.
They were in love with one another
Although they were a sister and a brother,
Therefore a union might not be allowed;
And so they kept their heads quite low and bowed.
Then came a bee, all flighty and immoral;
It transferred pollen--floral to floral,
Resulting in illicit propagation,
Which should have earned them condemnation.
But since in nature all this is permitted,
My verdict is: those lovers are acquitted.

Okay
It's probably not a hugely academic response to your poem, but I think it's really neat.
No crit, just enjoyed it.

Jane,
neither is my poem a hugely academic achievement, lol; So, I'm very pleased with your response, but I must not allow it to get to my head. Mum always told me, "Your ego is bound to become an obstacle to your creativity and turn your brain into re-fried mush. (Too late, mum.) Thank you, Jane.

How precious.
And even a structured piece with rhyme and all.
I like it.
Hello, kind Sir;
I'm glad my poem pleases you. Thanks very much. Yours,
Ali
