The Rain Sprite

Yonder

Yonder
Leaves fall
Underneath the autumn veil.

Yonder
Rain pitter-patters
Over the sea of rice.

Yonder
Petals drop
Burying the earth.

Yonder
Snow caps
The mountain.

Yonder
I haply think
Of a flowing stream.

Yonder
Perchance I remember
The coolness of my feet
As I wadded in the water.

Such memory
Begets a sigh.

Yonder
I secretly wish
To be back
Where time is constant.
Yonder
I long to be.

I think many can easily relate to it.
I liked the language use and the repeation of the word yonder shows perfectly the longing feeling of the author.
Really enjoyed
A warm welcome to Neopoet.
