If I Never Fly Again

If I never fly again
I love the slow ride
On the runway
Before the plane ascended for takeoff.

If I never fly again
I enjoyed being up there
With the pillows of clouds
High above the heavens.

If I never fly again
I marveled at the sunrise
Shimmering bright light
Among bluish white skies.

If I never fly again
I won't forget the sunsets
Deep bloody skies
Falling where there's no land.

If I never fly again
The adrenaline within me
Will alway be felt
When the plane descended for landing.

got some beautiful notations
in your poems Barbara
I probably will never fly
so poor...so burdened
but I flew a few times
it was beautiful
the experience

Pillow of clouds
