I have a shirt I like.
I wear it often;
long sleeves, collar, and breast pocket.
I think it's called aquamarine.
And a favorite chair;
arm rests, scooty wheels,
black, of fake leather, my guess.
Living with the familiar,
such as previously mentioned,
facilitates and expedites
excursions of thought.
At the drop of a hat
an adventure begins;
exciting
spontaneous
and sometimes,
scary as hell itself.
Daring
the dark ages
ferreting out dormant superstitions.
Challenging
the medieval
chiding a supercilious sense of chivalry and bravado.
Confronting
the modern era, and a pesky post-modernist
...well that one's just imponderable!
Then 'pop'...back to familiarity
sans tacky souvenirs, or jet lag.
Ah!, it's good to be home!

Like the way this reads..
Without fuss or pretence, a brief incursion into daydream. Then a questioning of the dark age of thought or superstition, a self-reflective journey, from the comfort of your own chair. I can relate to this.
Also, very funny, I also have no fucking idea about colour (color for you spelling heretics) either! I once painted an entire kids bedroom, in what I took to be, on the face of it, lilac. Apparently violent purple wasn't appreciated - by anyone.
Thanks, enjoyed.
Chris.
So many of the people I know
So many of the people I know are actually afraid of thought, real thought...even daydreams become nightmares, so they get hyper active, running all over
the place, never wanting to be alone for more than a few minutes at a time...sad!
Glad you enjoyed this piece...most thinking people, I hoped, would relate at least to the theme, if not the style. Glad you liked that too...two birds on that one!
I sometimes get freaked a little when I go outside in the sunlight, and see how different the colors of my clothes are than what I had thought them to be.
Now I usually just dress in grays and black (sometimes that turns out to really be a dark blue) sobeit! We color our world with colorful language.
thanks Chris
