Fuck all those sappy ballads,
and all those shitty torch songs.
wish with all my heart, I hadn’t lost you.
Show me the lyricist,
and I’ll strangle them.
Want to stuff every note
down their gullet.
Love is not the greatest thing,
It’s hell, when your broken hearted.
And yet when I’m lonely ,
I’m forced to listen to the great Miss Cline.
I have to admit Roy Orbison still tears me apart.
Bollocks to Piaf
I have many, many regrets.

Dear Lou...
the idiosyncracy during catharsis is expressed so very well in this write..
warmly..

I think...
you stuffed it down their gullets for sure with this one Lou.
Wish there was a magic potion to cure anyone of love, when they are on the wrong side of it. I'd send you some for sure. Anyone who has ever loved in vain, will see themselves here. Love ya, ~ Gee
To you both
a big thank you

Talk about passion. I have to
Talk about passion. I have to agree enjoyed the fact that sometimes the music hurts more than the act itself. Great gutsy write.

Lou,
great title - it lets you know what to expect before you read on!
This is hilarious!
Glad you didn't want to strangle the lyricist from Systema Synthetica as well!

HS,
I'm really pleased that you like the poem.
I wouldn't dream of strangling the lyricist of Systema Synthetica, I hear he is quite good lol!!

"some sad things in there"
"some sad things in there" said Barry... I say this is one of your very best if not the best.

I don't know if you need both first & last name for folks to make the association between lonely and Roy Orbison. Who is on the top ten in my book. ~A
Second thoughts this morning.

you did not play around with this one, you just let it all hangout. you attacked one of the main sources of love songs right at the title, yes I know this feeling of wanting to ripe your own heart out. this is where we become strong, after a great blow to our heart.
Great write lou!!

fantabulous!
fantabulous!
(as seren will tell you, that's high praise from me)
biting, funny, bitter ...the three words that
immediately spring to my mind ... yet by no means is that
all this poem is
it reads as if it just sprang from your pen (spleen?)
in an outburst, yet it is so well constructed that i'm guessing
a level of thought had to go into it
as a huge piaf fan (and patsy and roy) the title
immediately grabbed me ...terrific title btw ...
i'm so glad i came across this gem of a write
i shall be reading more
cheers

hi
Thank you very much, I love a Patsy Cline or a Roy Orbison song, because their songs are filled with emotion.
My idea was to express how you might feel if you had couldnt stand anymore pain

There is a desparate heartache that shows in this write.
Very nicely done.
(I hope in time you will forgive me for being of the... unmentionable... ilk, myself.)
