LETHE'S WATERS

LETHE’S WATERS

Love transcends all things
except death’s silence.
we speak to the dead
as though they can hear
but the echoes of our own voice
tell us no one is there.
or have the departed tasted
of Lethe’s waters to forget
the world they left behind,
blind now to our existence
no memories to care.
my heart still sickens
after so many years
and I awake each lonely day
with a soul so broken
I can hardly pull back
from the pain of despair

how it is painful to experience what is
spiritual expression
and disbelief
and the pain of life
the sorrow in this I read
the last three lines are tragic
and real
and exceptionally good,
heartrending
Joe!!

thank U!

lovedly

such beauty still emanates
as you say from a passing by soul

the world will never believe
you ever passed by

yes when we are no more
many shed tears some silently

knowing the eternal truth
that still as always shall and will exist

the overall will of man
till the candle flame quivers no more
such enlightening poetry can only ensue
from
Joe
such as yours

be aware you are with us always
whats an end
it's just a completion of life's cycle
that's about all
for all!

Having just lost a nephew who was only 41 years old this brings the cries of the lost souls to my thoughts .
There is a passion here but heed your Gods words " I shall prepare a table for you, as in my house are many mansions"
Joe never lose site of your being it stands there as a spirit among the truest of us all and will reap its rewards..
Yours as always Ian..
PS:- I hope that your helper, here, or there, will be there for you always, as infinity beckons to us all at some time..
