WHEN HELL CASTS ITS SHADOW
The dawn breaks cloudy and gray
and the hibiscus bows in mourning
to the death of the sun,
A world of desolation
reflects my thoughts
and my heart
and my soul
sink to a fear born
in terrifying loneliness
There is no sun to lighten my way
and carry me through another day
Time pulls me forever forward
and I am too broken to resist

why in USA
it's called ''gray''

so that in USA
they can easily take away the'' r''
as we now mostly
''are..''

There must be something of joy left in your life.
Do you have a link to something of yours (recent) that is happy?
I would very much like to read it.
I am at a stage of Parkinson
I am at a stage of Parkinson's in which the lack of dopamine in the brain doesn't produce the ""joy"" one seeks. My mother died of this disease and since I took c are of her at home, I am familiar with the stages a nd the affect they have , poetry is truth: I cannot write things that are no longer in my life, It would ring false. The ""beauty"" of my poems is that they are born of intense, deep emotions. I also know how I will end. t is not pleasant.
I was thinking that perhaps I should just not write anymore if readers don't look beyond the ""tragedy"" and see themselves,
A forced emotion rings false. This poetry, like ancient Greek tragedy, should have a cathartic effect
You may be missing the ""music"" of my poetry if you look at content alone,
We say in Italian to see the whole you need two eyes. [per vedere tutto, c'ha bisogno di due occhhi]
Siamo tutti nati per morire.
DAMN I''M GOOD!!!:)

oh I hear the music alright.
And it is all in a minor key. I understand. We have Huntington's in the family. So far I seem to have been skipped, but...
Never stop writing, but I still believe you can find small joys if you perceive them.
