Naive not foolish (((((Advised by Rula again

To Sirs with love

My teachers
all were not so unkind to me
they said that I was
naive
whereas
they meant
innocent,
gullible,
but not silly

all of them
all the time

teachers, if you want to befriend students
tell them where they are really weak...

my sister was a teacher too
a mathematical dunce,
she called me
that alone made me to prove
how wrong was she
neither
naive nor silly me

but I remember her still
for the glee
and
love she finally gave me

I alone attended
her dissolution
into space
from where we all came
and
must return
I can still see her
smile at me....

not
silly
but
naive...

nice, I have now learned
I wasn't foolish enough
my teary eyes
have now discerned

I thought you've hit the nail with this. I thought you've raised a good point here for teachers and educators, parents and everyone who might have the chance to raise a child or has to teach him/her.
But I thought naivety is a bit different than foolishness in one way or another. There is nothing wrong to be naïve or easy going people. I believe it's a trait that helps the person live longer and be a friend of many people.
As I said, this has a message that I appreciate a lot both as a former teacher and as a reader.
Thank you!!

nice to know that the suggestion was in a way helpful. It was just a thought, you could have discarded any way,

You seem to be asking for forgiveness and at the same time saying I told you so but I guess it was as usual left a little late, as your time didn't seem to give you a chance.
Life young Bard is so full of regrets from many people especially family.
Our family is so precious and we most times take it for granted until there in that allotted time there is a space we cannot fill.
Never fear young Bard, those that have gone ahead are watching over us each day, just ask and you will hear them in the distance,
Yours Ian..

I concur with the others.
