As clocks grind more
hours and days,
shores stretch
to absorb
tiny heads
hands and feet
now lay
in peace,
photographers snap shots
to display
tragedies,
I and you read,
yet only silence
echoes in the empty hearts
to ache.

Thank you
Khalid. I wish more and more people just have the chance to see.
Hi Rula
The refugee crisis is indeed heart rending. I think the tragedies in the middle east are inexcusable. I lay a lot of blame on fanatical misled Islamist. But my country shares some of the blame. Our gutless Prez put down a red line in Syria and then did not back up his words. And U.S. troops should have stayed in Iraq for a number of years to ensure permanent stability. But we left and ISIS came to fill the vacuum we left behind. Now civilians in both Iraq and Syria a forced to flee the monstrous ISIS demons...........stan
hello Stan
I don't blame anyone other than the arab tyrants.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
sad

yes,
Thanks for showing sympathy. Sometimes showing humanity becomes an ultimate demand

Had Europe made safe places with full facilities near or on the borders where the conflict was, and built substantial homes there, and given the people work to do then this would not have happened.
Germany said they would take 800000 how stupid, they knew they couldn't cope with this number, and all the other countries around couldn't cope with the number of people either.
All the money spent in the European scandal has cost many lives, they should have started doing something earlier and at the source where the people were at the start.
It is a black time when babies have to die for no other reason than lack of thought and many lies..
Your tribute is good it is such a shame that you ever had to write it,
Yours as always, Ian
