Lennon Jesus Or Warhol….
Crabs run to the side we know
hard to catch their slimy shells.
While sheiks have halved the flow,
from their cities built on wells.
An oases for the few, even though,
they need us bred, us worker Ants.
Daily the oil demand seems to grow,
creating poison in our plotted plants.
We suck from the breast of mother earth,
creating new nipples as we command.
Now this is how we measure our worth,
when choosing heroes just like a brand.
Alcohols kept nice and low,
is it medication or sedation.
Ever saw a drunk weep with woe,
seeing his own peoples deprivation.
Does this poem have a moral,
can’t begin to wonder why.
Was it Lennon, Jesus or Warhol,
who kept on adding to their lie.
Don’t ask me for any good reason,
follow first what’s in your head.
Just don’t let them put a squeeze on,
you’ll regret it, until you’re dead.
Getting back to those slimy shelled crabs,
I’m at the beach with people who care.
The rest have flown, looking for tits and or abs,
do you think they’ll find themselves there.

I liked...
this poem, though the rhythm was a tiny bit rough in places I also like to see question-marks at the end of a sentence even if it is obvious that it a question. The thoughts are consistent throughout and clear enough to get the gist of the work. Nice job! ~ Gee
Thank you Gee,
Thank you Gee, will look at smoothing it out a little. But glad you enjoyed it just the same. Regards Roscoe...
WTF?
Surrealism, sensuality, politics? I don't know what to make of it, It definitely appeals to my weird.
I like it but don't know why..
I seldom ask this but could you give a kittle explanation?
I guess what,
I guess what i'm trying to put out there is, the world order hasn't changed very much for hundreds of years, The wealthy believe they own most of the planet, and the rest of us are just minions to be used or discarded at their discretion. And Lennon, Jesus, Warhol, etc are just used to keep order. ie Quietening the masses through these vehicles. Sort of slight of hand, keeping us looking the other way as they gather more wealth so to speak. Just like our politics we don't vote on policy, we vote for who we believe looks the safest option. And most of the time we're fed sound bites to frighten us from thinking. Hope this helps Regards Roscoe...
