FLEUVE--re-furbished

FLEUVE

Je suis un fleuve qui court
frénetique
comme un forcené fou
poursuivi
par ma propre foliie
emporté par les vents
vers l'ínconnu
profond et noir
avalé comme une goutte
de rien
dans l'Océan
qui m' attend

RIVER

I am a river flowing
frenetic
like a madman
cursed to flee
by his own madness
taken by winds
towards the Ocean
deep and black
swallowed like
a drop
of nothing
in the waters waiting

Hello
I always did enjoy reading your work in French(although I have a difficult time translating it)

You always do us the favor of translating for us
this is beautiful, sad but it also has a power behind it

Like this..the last line especially
spent much pondering of late

"waiting" and the "Drop"
great reference

"Madman fleeing before"

I like that even better

La vie c'ést comme l' eau qui court entre les doigts et qui se perd dans le grand Inconnu.

[ Life is like water flowing through your fingers losing itself in the great Unknown]

That's about as little of French I know even though my daughter-in-law is french candian...

I liked this one which took me through most of the course of the river and in between the lines the connection with life..

Wir laufen durch den sturm
Dem Flug der Mowen nach geschrien
Wir Fliegen durch den sturm"

A lovely piece of writing there young one.
Always remember that every drop that goes into the ocean is still a drop in its own right, though it is now part of the whole,
Yours as always, Ian
