Sweet Loneliness

Never did I encounter
Such a love that
Blossoms at the sight
Of my dismay

Oh sweet loneliness
Why, do I hold onto to you?
Have I not the strength
To bid you farewell

As I shed a rainstorm
You observe me silently
As if you fathom my
Dark skies

Loneliness, even though
You cause me harm
I have a warm place
For you in my heart

You’re unlike the rest
Oh you don’t torment my soul
Instead you embrace my agony
Leading me to believe
That someone cares

The title conveys a bitter sweet emotion, which I like. Loved the clean and spare use of language. It is beautiful in it's simplicity.

As I hold onto a memory of one from many years ago I find this quite OK, and typical of how us guy's feel about some memories.
A good theme but not energetic enough, it needs to bounce off the page,

I have never read a poem that puts Lonliness in such a matter
and manner of context
Im not going to re read it
no more then one can back up a subway
train for a catch of the eye of something
that registers and then is gone.

now wait...

settle back and let it diffuse
in the memory
the Now..

you have this way of writing
that is subtle
a character
of certianty
that is defined

"loneliness loves me"

no I dont think Ive ever
heard it put this way
ever....

given me a whole slant
on characterization in
works now..

Unique!

Thank You
