My Lucky Wish in Hell

My Lucky Wish in Hell

Dropped a penny down a well,
heard a rumble rise from it’s core.
Then a voice decreed go to hell,
in fear I stammered, what for.

Didn’t you just ask for perfect health,
beautiful fast ladies and great cars.
Oodles and oodles of copious wealth,
live with and entertain the big stars.

Then to take drugs be forever high,
care for no one or let them care for you.
Watch beautiful movies then laugh not cry,
listen to sad songs but never get blue.

Eat the richest food not gaining a pound,
look good without make up or exercise.
Enough sex appeal the world to go round,
watch ladies fight just to be your prize.

Go anywhere you please just on a whim,
flying your own jet in your own space.
Sail the seven seas or perhaps swim,
be able to disappear without a trace.

If this is a life that you really yearn for,
and you are willing to take a chance.
Think your ready to knock on my door,
then boy lets you and the devil dance.

No sir you cant get these pleasures in heaven,
if there’s a person says I’m wrong, pray tell.
So if it all right with you lets start liven,
better catch that down train straight to HELL

This made me have a great laugh. You have punched a lot of humor in this one.

Did you mean "it's" instead of "it" in the line below?

So if it all right

brittle light

works for me.
as someone once said.( a paraphrase )..."Hell has more interesting people...."

so true
i enjoyed the write, the rhyming excellent and the concept fun. but the rhythm isn’t up to your usual standard – i found it very choppy

just me i stress ...
