TIME DOESN'T STOP FOR NEW YEAR, CHANGING

"TIME DOESN'T STOP FOR NEW YEAR, CHANGING"
Margaret Ann Waddicor 31st December 2010.

As the old year turns its face,
the sun sinks down to other parts, from here,
I look out on the starlit heavens
and see the same galaxies of light,
the same formations, far away,
and yet they move so slowly, yes,
but move they do.

There is no stop in nature's workings,
no celebration of this hour we do,
time never still, goes on and we roll with its peal,
its gong of graceful flow, like wavelengths
ever travelling the surface of this globe,
from east to west, from west to east,
or north to south.

I stand and think, atop this hill,
and feel so small a cog, in wheels
that never stop, as with it we too must go,
and spin with earth's momentum,
I find this thrilling, simple truth,
enough to celebrate the moments
changing from one month into another,
and wave to every man, my sister, brother.

Thank you, and I will be asleep
because he doesn't like it all
so we go as usual to bed about 10 pm.
although the whole landscape explodes
with fireworks from 9 pm. to 1 am !!!
The little dog is with us, but he is totally
unperturbed by their din, its sporadic here now.
We were out and several were BANGED
loudly, and he looked at the flying colours,
then went on with his more important task of
reading the library of our back-of-building
visits!!!!
Love as always Ann

Yes that's how I feel it, there is a great grand noise going on
all around one,
but out there in the distant galaxies is time passing
at different speeds
and the darkness describes its depth,
an awesome depth,
all while the surface of the earth is full of people having fun,
how proportions present themselves sometimes almost tangibly?

Thank you my/our Jayne,
We love yours, Ann.XXOO
