PAY ATTENTION

my pen exploded again
staining the tips of my fingers blue
blue like that shirt you wear
with the curved letters
that look like a breeze has caught them
relax
i remember pressing my ears to those letters
so i could hear the rhythm of your heart
and feel the melody of your fingertips tingling my spine
there's a shiver rushing through me now
as it did then
and im watching the nurse talk on the phone about a patient
who has no health insurance
and he should really stop smoking
but all i can hear is your voice
whispering
let's get out of here

A lovely write, where have you been it is way past a year since you last wrote Feb 2013 is much too long to leave writing on stream.
There are so many new workshops running here and much to learn, I hope that you will write more,
Yours, Ian . T (Yenti)

A beautiful piece in a rhythmic flow, I loved how it draws a reader in and never breaks his attention.
