A TRIBUTE TO AN AUSSIE POET PAR EXCELLENCE JESS

George Bernard Shaw said

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying
to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

I have also swum against the current
all my life
even though I ain't a swimmer
yes
et all breathless!

Many friends fall by the way side
as I alone stride
the world takes a pride
when one has gone aside

then one is remembered
on an off occasion
at times
some are forgotten
ere!!!

you are young my Jess
a friend indeed
I now guess

But for you I do profess
none would have ever read me
Yes

well it seems you were aware of all happenings

where under the sun
will I find Jess and you
who always had me in mind
I should also vapourise soon
twill perhaps for Neos be a boon

but no

you do come on and off soon
I shall compose poetry par excellence
as does the moon
my poetry will shine
with the sun in you
and so I shall remain

as a real bard
now with you....

One day as we walk along together the tales of Neo will be the first in our think, as we sip our tea at the entrance to my cave, I shall not have to relate to you what happened here in this year.
Tears will not fall while we sip that tea, as we will be joined by those that we wish to have with us.
Maybe in September I will be able to tell you stories that will make you write your best piece ever, you will have to be patient with me here as the stories haven't been written yet, the play needs its actors and they are not ready.
Meanwhile I need you to write some pieces for me that you have hidden in your feelings and actions, the ones that drive a man to the extremes of being, now off you go and write something, Yours Ian.T

I have been cruel to you

unjustly so at times.
But I ignore boring people.

not in the least Jess

unless a blacksmith hammers
a hot steel rod

can he produce

you posted this just before the announcement about our dear Member Jess signing off as head of workshops here...makes me wonder what made you express your gratitude to him at that point of time in a poetic verse...anyways it's always a good gesture to express it...also appreciate your sporting response to his comment..

I just compose premonitive poetry... I suppose,
I knew nothing about Jess going off
then Hope he keeps well

As far as comments go,
we all are entitled to our own views,
no ones views are final ever
