Hope in Her Eyes

God is in the rain,
Sin running down the sewer drain.
Love is in the stars,
Twinkling on the strangers in bars.
Truth is in the rose,
Honesty can make woes.
Time is in the soul,
Eternity can take its tole.
Life is in the pain,
Suffering is ne'er in vain.
Death is in the day lily,
Just a moment of beauty.
Hope is in her eyes,
Dwindling, but ne'er dies.

deep enough and hopeful enough
the catchy beat i like...
my kid got me into rap..
closest i listened was blondie
back in the seventy nine year..
autoamerica album

i have a hard time to rhyme..cant even
spell it although it looks like i spelled it
right..first time this has happened..

i like the lily line..
i read it and in my head on add app to your
poem i put in
"really" the kind of "straight up" statement
i hear the kids saying today...
the hip street words from way back to
now...

The day to light perception is the most interesting thing about this poem. It shows how sayings can be offset by our mood or our state of mind. Its entrancing seeing some of the optimism vs. The pessimism. Very good. Please feel free to add to it
