LEGACY

LEGACY

I am my father's son.

I am my mother's child.

Nothing more. nothing less.

And who I have been

I will be through the end

and beyond,

I am in continuum.

motherhood they say is a fact
but paternity is questionable ????
that's why now maidens are being permitted
to retain their moms name
in forms now they ask
who is ur mom not pop!

We can be defined by what we can choose
We don't choose our parents
nor our nationalities
but we can choose
our religion
our partners

Don't know if this what you wanted to say.
Sure we are a continuum of our parents though it isn't our choice.

We are the total of all those that have gone before yet unique in that we are ourselves.
We have survived since the beginning of all time or of everything, we are precious to the whole.
We can and do enhance the being that we are,
Yours Ian
