Me

Mirrors reveal a face
so unfamiliar
And a body
so foreign
This flesh is mine
but it is not me
These eyes are mine
and with them I see
but they are not me
Breathing in and out
Heart beating throughout
A body that is mine
but not me
When you look at this face,
it's not me you see
But when you read these words
you see me

Now you seem to understand why the body is the least of our worries, when the one that will love you sees that inner self that you protect.
I am always on about a perfect mirror, well you have shown what others should look for.
Stand in front of a mirror and see if you can see that real you looking back, always remember you are looking at the past, just live in the now, it is the best place to be if you know yourself..
A good write and a hard theme, Yours Ian.T
