I've been lost in the eyes of the precious
and breathed gasps of air in so full,
payed no attention to the view from the crowsnest
putting too much faith on the hull.
I've found solace when sad sorrow was boss,
lost perspective in a wee child's grin;
was coerced to feel the sadness of a loss
to truly feel how it was to win.
I understand things much more clearly
from outcomes of events so damn weird;
that sometimes, the folks I hold dearly
will hurt me much more than I've feared.
Dissappointments morph towards possibilities
new beginnings often change into an end,
there are times when one of my enemies
have done something to prove they're a real friend.
If one laughs in the bold face of danger
they will complain over the comforts of home,
If the Lord can be born in a manger
an Athiest could be Pope if he's from Rome.
This world is chock full of suprises
we can't spend too much time finding this out;
so just as the sun, each day rises
all believers will start believing in doubt !

like this work..a more longer poem but cohesive throughout.
"into ends" sounds more sound...shortens it up..
only thing that i stumbled on in reading.. could be
our old kings english
I liked this poem because it
I liked this poem because it is about the vagaries, contrasts and mysteries one discovers in the journey of life, at times perplexed at other times feeling challenged and taking it in the stride may be with a pinch of salt. That's what life is about, isn't it, about moving on?
Regards,
or at the desert
while the sun stars move about you
time flows like dust devils
and gliding buzzards
a rock balances atop its shadow
of time..density
perched
defying gravity
logic
a trick
an illusion
salt plains
full of light
like liquid
cupped in the density
of dimensions
