Righteous anger
Fully justified
Flames the heart deep inside.
Frustration burns
Eclipsing hours
Raining scolding showers.
Insanity
Blisters restless strife
Jilting the joy of life.
Sleepless despair
Seething aggression
Tossing cruel depression.
Penetrating
Assailing sweet dreams
Flaring internal screams.
Assaulting me
With explosive force
Scorching without remorse.
I forgive you
And let you walk free
Not for you but for me.
My heart cools down
Beating quiet calm
Washed over with loves balm.
I’ve put you out
You’re just a faint hiss
Smothered with forgiveness.
You no longer hurt me.

Hi Shirl
I hope you and Vanni are well. 2011 already!!
Thanks for reading and commenting Shirl. There have been a couple of times in my life when I have felt serverly angry over an injustice - one of my lifes lessons was that in the end the anger damaged me and stopped me from moving on. So this is my take on how to deal with injustice, ( though it's not easy ). That doesn't mean to say we didn't seek justice, in one case it took two years in court to resolve the problem.
Thanks again Shirl

Dear Mand
you have come out with a very capivating forceful write...like a painter picks colors you choose words and create a very lively imagery...one more signature poem of Mand...one read is not enough to absorb its essence..
much love...
Hello Raj
Kind of you to come by to read and comment - I appreciate it. I guess all of us meet up with some form of injustice in our lives - How we deal with it makes a difference to our lives. Sometimes we just have to let go and keep our own peace.
Thanks once again Raj.

you are right Mand about
you are right Mand about dealing with unjust experiences in life and taking them in our stride and moving ahead..a nice message..
much love..
hurt
sometimes the memory of a hurt far outweighs the hurt itself. You put this very well. Just as a thought, you could try forgiveness' instead of quiet in last line and see if you like it.............stan
Hi Stan
Good to hear from you my friend. Your comment is wise and true. I was having trouble with the last line so I'm glad you have made a suggestion. I will be rethinking the last stanza over the next few days and will take your suggestion into serious consideration.
Thanks Stan, kind of you to read and comment.

Hi Seren
Good to see you my friend. I hope you have a happy new year now and always.
I defiantley have rant inside me - it rarely comes out, it gets bottled up, but I hate the aftermarth of a rant
( makes me feel bad - even if it is justified ). Besides when I do a rant I talk ten to the dozen and no one understands me. Lol
Yeh! thanks for reading and commenting Seren.
Your a great gal

Hello Yenti
Good of you to read and comment - most appreciated. Injustice causes a roller coaster ride of emotions - so true, and it feels as if it will last forever. It's hard to put it in perspective and not let it overwhelm our lives.
Ahh thank you for your lovely comments
Loads of love
