Smacking was a subject close to his heart
Then Yenti, came in to let the fun start
Little Serendipity as a child had suffered so
But grew up and just wouldn't let it go
I was told by friends that knew these folks
It would just go beyond the odd friendly poke
It disturbed our Yenti that as he was old
It was construed as being lewd and much too bold
Come on now give us older folks a break,
Our memories are good, though our hands still do shake
Do you know that our long term ones are the thing
With the shaking we are good at many things
For beating eggs and stirring thick gravy
But there are other things but on site it's a maybe
I shall have to close, I ripped my tissue while wiping my nose
Can't type with sticky fingers that shake you know.

Thanks for dropping in, Yours Ian.T

One day you will shake as I.
Take care young Bard
Yours Ian.T Still shakin I be
The title upset me
Whenever you refer the an elf, it means me, but I am not a great elf, I am a seriously flawed elf, with some good good qualities.Nonetheless I enjoyed the poem and thank you.The first stanza seemed to me to be a way of pulling me down from my cruelty and arrogance into my kindness and caringness. Thanks again.
The rest was interesting about how you relate to Aussies like me and Jayne Chloe, we do have a different perpspective on the world.
Young Jess
I have sent the Elf away, it was written when you and Jayne were talking about smacking in a comment the other day.
Thanks for popping in it is good for my mind.
Yours as always, Ian.T
