It was such a striking part of my dream. In-between snippets with no apparent connection …why was I wearing hipster shoes with no socks? …why am I arguing with my dog, and where did he get those pants??? I wish I could speak with my dreamkeeper for explanations that often elude me there.
But I digress.
Suddenly, I was transported to some unexplained, brightly lit place and felt a sudden tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw my dearest friend, gone so many years yet standing there with the best smile in his eyes. A smile that said so much – letting me know everything was alright with him, and that he was happy. We began to talk about things, baseball, movies and such. And the important things that made him my friend. Like his theory that Spider-Man was stronger than most of his kind, as if it was as rote and concrete as the Earth revolving every year around the sun.
It felt like we were together for hours. You know how dream-time can be. What I remember most vividly though was how content we both were as we laughed and talked about all the things there were to speak of.
All those I call family are always welcome in my dreams; especially those gone and buried, the ones who only dwell in the mist. Each of them with so many friends and family still needing to be with them in their dreams too. I understand I will need to be patient. It may take some time

A visit...
I like it. It reads like a letter to another friend
explaining a dream that you have had. I liked the simple
way of the language and the easy manner of the telling.
Not a lot of big words or philosophical meandering.
Just a dream of visiting with an old friend and interests shared. Nice!
